Herbed / Spiced Beer | 7% ABV

A: Pours orange with a big soapy pillowy white head. Some lace.

S: Smells a lot like ginger kombucha, with a little more caramelization. Brown sugar and orange. Heady ginger smell, nice.

T: Heavy ginger and sweet malt, quite medicinal. Spiced winter bread feel with a light pine hop note on the back end. Gets very woodsy in the aftertaste.

M: Medium-bodied, soft carbonation. But it does have that cloying, medicinal feel which dried me out and made me crave some water.

D: An interesting and weird brew. The ginger may be over the top for me, but it doesn’t dominate the brew entirely. Unique. It’s a beer that’s hard to quantify. Definitely not for everybody.

beer + food = Barleydine
