SLY FOX PHOENIX PALE ALE

American Pale Ale | 5.25% ABV

Appearance:
Copper / amber hybrid with good carbonation and a creamy-looking off-white-copper-colored head, leaving sparse rings of foam.

Smell: A lot of good leafy and bitter citrus hops aromas that get stronger and more powerful as it warms.

Taste: Nice balance of the hoppiness, and there’s a lot going on, with some quality malt and fruit esters, a bit of strawberry and apple. Finishes very dry and almost IPA-like in its bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Creamy and lighter-to-medium-bodied. Better than good.

Drinkability: All around sessionable and quality brew. I like the hoppiness of it, and it has more flavor than many domestics. I’ll buy this again.

Pairing Suggestions: Burgers, steak, cheddar cheese

beer + food = Barleydine
