American Porter | 7.40% ABV

Pours a very dark brown color with a very weak and quickly dissipating tan head. There was very little lacing left on the glass. The aroma is somewhat weak, as well as the flavor for an Imperial Porter. As a regular Porter it is very drinkable and not overwhelming in any manner. Notes of coffee and roasted malts are forward in the flavor. With a very quick, dry finish. This is a great beer to accompany a meal as it is light and not filling. Overall, it’s a decent beer that in my opinion is mis-labeled.

Pairing suggestions: barbeque, blackened fish, meatloaf, venison, brownies, peanut butter cookies.

beer + food = Barleydine

good hosting provider at a honest price? Cheers, I appreciate it!
