BAR HARBOR TRUE BLUE BLUEBERRY WHEAT ALE

Fruit Wheat Ale | 7.60% ABV

Beer Notes:

Pours a beautiful, light honey color with a gorgeous, fluffy white head. The nose is loaded with blueberry and the slightest hop aroma. Blueberry’s are very prevalent on the tongue as well as a faint hop bitterness followed by some malt sweetness. Very light-medium bodied and perfect as a breakfast beer.

Pairing Notes:

Pancakes came to mind the day I picked this up in Maine. The blueberry flavor in the beer linked well with the plain cakes, filling in for the fruit that was absent from my hot cakes. The slight hop bitterness of the beer contrasted so well against the sweetness of the all natural Maple syrup. Malts in the beer teamed well with the breadiness of the pancakes while the beers light body was perfect as not to over power the dish.
